Mood: We cut the evergreen tree from the forest and decorated it in our home to remind us of the life and warmth in the days to come.

The evergreen trees stand tall and proud in the forest, their waxy green leaves reflecting in the low winter sun, the frost that coats the pine needles glistening like the stars of the night sky. These trees remind us that life endures even in the coldest of months, and it will return once more.

Snow crunches beneath our boots, birds huddle together for warmth in their nests above in the treetops, and deer scuffle in the distance as we journey out deep into the woods to find the perfect tree for our home.
